Our backdrops are available in height of 8ft tall or 10ft tall, and any width! Choose your size on the order page.
IS THIS THE SAME AS TRADITIONAL PIPE AND DRAPE?
Pipe and drape systems traditionally use large weighted bases and heavy uprights. We use a tripod system. This makes it easy to transport the backdrop, since it is lightweight and collapsible. It also makes for quick and easy setup! Note that because it is a tripod-based system, it's designed for indoor use only. The backdrops are not stable outdoors due to wind. The other main difference is that our portable backdrop naturally has a dip in the middle. To minimize the dip, it is necessary to reduce the crossbar width to 6ft wide instead of the full 12ft wide.
WHAT IS A VALANCE OR SWAG?
A regular backdrop has one layer of drapes. A valance or swag is a second layer of drapes. You can do the second layer of drapes in a different color, or style the drapes to add interest.
WHAT TYPE OF DRAPING IS USED?
We use poly premier drapes. They are wrinkle-free -- no ironing or steaming required! This is a thicker material and it is not see-through.
